Gangwon-doCave Area in Daei-ri

Cave Area in Daei-ri refers to the seven caves at this site that have been discovered to date, of which only Hwanseongul Cave and Daegeumgul Cave are open to public. These caves were formed about 530 million years ago in the Paleozoic Era, and are characterized by small and large waterfalls and lakes formed by numerous cave streams from unknown sources. They are the only caves in Korea that were installed with a monorail for tourists. There is also an eco-park near the caves.
